Day 1 Vancouver

Make your own way to the hotel where your Holiday Director will meet you for your welcome dinner and drink this evening. Meals included: D

Day 2 Vancouver

Set amongst spectacular natural scenery, the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver is surrounded by coastal waters, lush green forests and majestic snow-capped mountains. Today, a sightseeing tour will introduce you to its many highlights including the historic Gastown district, bustling Chinatown and Stanley Park, one of the world's biggest and best urban parks. Now you have your bearings, this afternoon is at leisure. You could explore what culinary treats are on offer at Granville Island’s Public Market, check out a museum or head to one of the large shopping malls for some retail therapy.
Alternatively, you can join an optional excursion to Vancouver’s Northshore. Here you'll see the spectacular Capilano Suspension Bridge and have the chance to take the cable car up Grouse Mountain for breath-taking views of the city, Vancouver Island and the snow-capped mountains of Washington State.

Whistler

Day 3 Whistler

Today we’ll drive through stunning scenery on the Sea-to-Sky highway and make our way to the mountain resort of Whistler. Along the way we will visit the tumbling waters of Shannon Falls, rising 335m high, the falls are an incredible sight.
Once in Whistler, you’ll learn about the cultural history of Whistler’s Indigenous people at the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre, a museum, art gallery and café. Located on the shared territories of the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations, the centre shares and celebrates the traditions of these two unique communities. It also provides youngsters who live on nearby reserves with valuable employment and training opportunities.

Whistler to Victoria

Day 4 Whistler to Victoria

This morning after breakfast we will retrace our steps as we head to Victoria on Vancouver Island, which gives us a chance to enjoy the coastal and mountain views from the Sea to Sky Highway once again.
Having arrived by ferry we head to Vancouver Island’s incredible Malahat Skywalk, a wooden treetop walkway leading to a spiral tower. Rising 250 metres above sea level, the tower offers incredible, panoramic views over forest-clad mountains and the inlets of the Salish Sea. Along the way, you’ll learn about the nature, culture, and history of Vancouver Island and the more adventurous can opt to descend from the tower on a thrilling spiral slide! Victoria is the capital of British Columbia and is often said to resemble an old English town, with its narrow streets and grand buildings. We’ll see its highlights on an included sightseeing tour this afternoon.

Day 5 Victoria

This morning, we'll head off to the famous Butchart Gardens, considered to be one of the most spectacular floral show gardens in the world. Established on the site of a former limestone quarry, the displays include an impressive collection of roses, and plants from as far afield as Japan and the Mediterranean.
Later you can soak up Victoria's old-world charm at your own pace as you explore at leisure. Maybe you’ll head to the renowned Royal BC Museum or visit one of the city’s craft breweries for a tasting. If you’re a wildlife enthusiast, you won’t want to miss today’s optional whale-watching excursion. The waters around Vancouver Island offer the ideal opportunity to get closer to the delights of the natural world and there's a chance you'll see orca, or killer whales, in their natural environment.

Olympic Peninsula

Day 6 Olympic Peninsula

Our journey continues today as we take the ferry service between Victoria, British Columbia and Port Angeles, Washington to explore the Olympic Peninsula. We will make a stop at an organic farm, orchard and craft cidery where local produce is created through traditional methods.
We will also visit the Jamestown S'Kallam Reservation, the S’Klallam people have lived and prospered in the north Olympic Peninsula for thousands of years. Here we will see the impressive collection of totem poles and native art with breathtaking views of Sequim Bay in the background.

Day 7 Olympic Peninsula

Today we will visit one of the largest temperate rainforests in America, the Hoh Rain Forest offers a tranquil nature escape surrounded by lush greenery, old-growth trees and abundant wildlife. We will start at the Hoh Rainforest Visitor Centre from here we can take a walk along the Hall of Mosses trail or the Spruce Nature Trail. If we are lucky we could spot Roosevelt Elk, the largest sub-species of elk in the country and a magnificent sight in the mossy forest. Meals included: B
Olympic Peninsula to Portland

Day 8 Olympic Peninsula to Portland

We are heading to Portland, the ‘City of Roses’ a vibrant and dynamic city, known for its indie food and drink scene, with numerous micro-distilleries and award winning eateries. We will head to Washington Park for views over Mount Hood and the city, it is home to the historic International Rose Test Garden and Portland Japanese Garden where we have time to take in the tranquil planting and views. Considered the most authentic Japanese garden outside of Japan, the gardens are designed to be enjoyed throughout the year in all four seasons. Meals included: B
Portland

Day 9 Portland

This morning we will explore some of the incredible landscapes and scenery of Oregon. Firstly, Multnomah Falls, the tallest waterfall in the State. Fed by rainwater and snowmelt the beautiful waterfall’s steady stream runs year-round.
From here we continue to the historic town of Cascade Locks in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge and the Cascade Mountains on the banks of the Columbia River. We'll also admire Mount Hood, the tallest peak in Oregon.

Seattle

Day 10 Seattle

Our final destination is Seattle, where we will stay for our final night. On the way we will view Mount St Helens. This active volcano, at 40,000 years old, is relatively young and offers a great photo opportunity. This afternoon gives you the chance to explore Seattle at your own pace. It's a city surrounded by stunning natural scenery and boasting an impressive skyline, and if you head to Kerry Park, your reward will be sensational views. Pike Place market is a Seattle institution, a farmers and craft market famous for it's fishmongers 'flying fish' display and the original Starbucks coffee shop. Close by is Seattle Space Needle with it's observation deck and revolving restaurant, and the extraordinary Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit. Meals included: B

Today it's time to say goodbye to your fellow travelers as your trip comes to an end. Meals included: B

North Shore - Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain

Take the opportunity to visit Vancouver’s oldest tourist attraction - the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The bridge stretches 450ft across and 230ft above Capilano River. Cross to the other side and there’s an eco-friendly walk in the treetops waiting for you to conquer. There is also a spectacular cliff side walk, looking down onto the Capilano River as you wind your way through the rain forest, as well as the full history and photos on display.

Appreciate the spectacular views of the city below in a cable car to the top of Grouse Mountain, the ‘Peak of Vancouver’, where there is also plenty to do. In summer months the city’s winter ski area is transformed into a summer activity centre. Visit the mountain’s two resident grizzly bears - Grinder and Coola, the Theatre in the Sky, and several activities.

Not only are our boats in constant radio contact with each other giving you the best possible chance to see the whales, but each boat comes complete with its own marine biologist who will give you plenty of interesting facts about these wonderful creatures.
