Day 2 Opatija

We'll discover the highlights of the Istrian Peninsula on today's included excursion. Our first stop is Pula, with its ancient Roman ruins and immense amphitheatre – one of the world’s largest and best preserved. We'll then head onto a family–owned winery, which is surrounded by vineyards. Here, we'll enjoy a light lunch. Next, we'll head to the popular resort of Rovinj to take in the sights of the bustling harbour and the Old Town with its narrow, cobbled streets. Meals included: B,L,D

Day 3 Opatija - Christmas Day

Merry Christmas! Today you can take time to explore Kvarner Bay, the stylish resort of Opatija which boasts amazing sea views and splendid Austro-Hungarian architecture. You could take a stroll around the beautifully maintained gardens and along the lovely coastal promenade – the Lungomare – which forms a stunning backdrop to the town's elegant villas, hotels, shops and cafés. During the festive season food stalls, performances and shopping opportunities line the seafront - a unique festive market looking out to sea. Day 4 Postojna Caves

Today we'll take part in a unique festive experience as we travel to Postojna Caves in Slovenia. One of the largest underground cave systems in Europe, Postojna hides wondrous geological formations. During the festive season, the Cave system becomes a stage for a Living Nativity - this extraordinary event will transport you back in time to relive the timeless story of Christmas in a unique setting. In the afternoon, we'll return to our hotel. Meals included: B,D
